1.Tractors must be 1959 or older.Mandatory wheelie bars in 5.5 and 3.0 mph classes.Top cut tires are allowed in the 5.5 mph classes only.
2. Drawbar height is 20" maximum and no closer than 18" from center of rear axle.
3. See below for "Tire Sizes."
4. All tractors must have working governors.
5. One percent (1%) over weight class is the allowed maximum weight.
6a. Maximum RPM's = 10% over stock high idle for 3.0 mph class.
6b. Maximum RPM's = 30% over stock high idle for 5.5 mph class.
7. Drawbars must have hole only for sled clevis. NO clevis on tractor.
8. 5.00 entry fee per hook for members. 10.00 entry fee per hook for non-members. With same person not allowed to pull same tractor more than twice. All exhibition pulls will have a 10.00 entry fee per hook for members and non-members.
9. "Only yearly enrolled members of the organization will receive points for pulling."                      If your club yearly dues are not currently paid up, you are not considered a full time member.
10. Drawbars cannot be connected to a hydraulic or motor lift. Exception: Tractors with factory hitches connected to lifts. They must have stays or ability to be pinned or bolted so lifts cannot raise hitch point above 20". If rockshafts are used as brace points, there must be a slip type connection made.
12. Tractors may weigh with wheel weights and/or hang on weights.        12a. During pull, if tractor tires (front or rear) cross over or into white line, pulll will be measured to that point.
13. No handcut, machine cut, sharpened, or altered tires.
14. No pieced rims.
15. No drugs or alcoholic beverages allowed.
16a. Hang on or suitcase weights allowed, also factory front frame weights.
16b.On front of tractor the "Hang-Point" for the weight will be a maximum of 12" from the front most part of tractor. The front most part of the tractor will be the most forward point of tractor-grill, hood, frame, etc... For rear mounted Hang-ons, the "Hang Point" can be no higher than the top of the rear axle housing. Weights have to be 6" on both sides away from draw bar center. No closer than 4" to rear tire, and cannot extend past outside most diameter of the rear tire.

Also, if hangons or wheel weights fall off during the pull, the pull will be disqualified.
17. Drivers are limited to two classes with the same tractor .                                    17b. Since we now have two classes of tractors (3.0 MPH and 5.5 MPH) we need to clarify some points. At a GIVEN PULL "NO TRACTOR" will pull 3.0 mph and 5.5 mph. If a tractor is registered at 3.0 mph for 1 pull the same person, if they choose to pull it in another class, that also has to be 3.0 mph. Also, another person cannot pull it at 5.5 mph. The same rule applies to a tractor first registered at 5.5 mph. Meaning that a person registering a tractor at 5.5 mph, if they choose to pull in another class it has to be 5.5 mph. Also, another person cannot register it at 3.0 mph.

There will be TWO points systems.

A. 3.0 mph class will be 1 points system.                                             B. 5.5 mph class will be 1 points system.

So it should be understood that if a person pulls a tractor at 3.0 mph and chooses to move at another pull to 5.5 mph that the points DO NOT move. 18. Racing fuel allowed. NO external gases or nitrous injected into engine.
19. All SATGEA rules will apply to any pull that uses SATGEA equipment.
20. No shifting of tractor gears while sled is in motion.
21. Engines may not be altered in external appearance.
22. If any part of your tractor falls off while you are pulling, you will be disqualified.
23. The driver must maintain seat contact at all times during the pull,or they will be disqualified.

24.No altered wheelbase in the overall length of tractor.

25.All tractors pulling in the Southwestern Antique Tractor Association must have wheelie bars .

25a.The front edge of the stabilizer pad can not be further forward than the rear most portion of the tire.

25b.10 inch maximum height off the ground. 25c. Pad size 5x5x1/4" thick.

25d. 20" minimum across pads from outside to outside.

25e. The wheelie bar must be able to support the weight of the tractor in the heaviest class pulled. To test,Jack up at the pads so tractor is completely off the ground.

25f.The wheelie bars and drawbars will be inspected by officials .

DRAWBAR SPECIFICATIONS

Rule changes for drawbars were made at the 2005 annual meeting. Specifically: All drawbars must have a D ring or a Twisted clevis.
In an effort to enforce new drawbar rules, some specifics are being added. It should be understood that SATGEA drawbar rules were modified some years ago to allow everone to get to the 20" maximum height. This meant that drawbars were no longer "stock." To meet new rules, there may be some stock drawbars that have to be changed. All other drawbar rules still apply such as 18" minimum from the sled hook point to the center of rear axle.

DRAWBARS WILL BE CHECKED AS LISTED BELOW.
The 20" maximum height and the 18" minimum from the center of the rear housin will be checked at the sled hook point on the D ring or clevis.
Limit of 3" vertical upward movement to a sound stop point.
PLEASE NOTE
If club officials or anyone registered to pull suspects that a drawbar does not comply with above rules and our diagrams, further checks will be made to assure compliance with rules.
